As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol a dynamic retail environment, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong presence throughout the location. Your role involves routine patrols, engaging with visitors and staff, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling areas using a company vehicle as needed. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or property damage during patrols and interactions with the public.
• Assist visitors, clients, and staff with directions and general inquiries as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address situations that arise within the retail environment.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation as required by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Holding a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
