Job Description


As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your role is essential in fostering a welcoming environment while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position requires driving responsibilities as you move between areas to support our caring culture and uphold our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall environment, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel or client contacts.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when required, and helping to manage visitor and contractor entry as directed by site policies.
  • Provide information and assistance to visitors, tenants, and staff within the location, addressing their questions and concerns professionally.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including guiding occupants during drills or real incidents and providing information to first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
