As a Security Professional - Armed Access Logistics in Hialeah, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Armed Security Officer specializing in access control at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will check credentials, manage entry points, and respond to alarms as needed, all while delivering exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution and logistics location and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and coordinate with local authorities as directed during emergency or security-related events.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a current armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least six months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
