As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible security-related presence.
• Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed in response to incidents.
• Maintain detailed records and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific protocols.
• Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with training and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and drills to remain prepared for emergency response situations at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable regulations.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must have a valid California weapons permit with a 9 millimeter caliber endorsement.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
