As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols in Nashville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment in a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible throughout the premises, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a professional manner while providing customer service to clients and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm, problem-solving approach, following established protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as required, coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while on duty, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an active armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
