As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. This role requires you to be both armed and qualified to drive, allowing you to respond quickly and confidently to situations as they arise. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and uphold Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring and supportive team.

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control access and maintain order within the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
• Work closely with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help promote a secure environment for staff, visitors, and others on site.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and equipment in compliance with legal and company standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
