As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. As this is an armed and driving post, you will be responsible for carrying a weapon and operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and screen individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with established protocols.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Interact with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary to support incident resolution at the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Participate in ongoing training and drills related to armed response and security-related procedures as required by Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An active armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
