As a Security Professional - Utility Patrol in Santa Barbara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and personnel, assist with access control and badge procedures, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role requires adaptability in unique environments, such as rustic guard shacks with limited on-site facilities, and the use of technology for reporting. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity within the utility location and report findings according to established procedures.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing directions and information as needed, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports and submit them in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as required during emergency and/or critical situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience working in environments with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
