As a Security Officer - Unarmed Manufacturing Patrols in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or conditions to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Assist with controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Maintain detailed records and logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by site-specific procedures.
• Support emergency response efforts, including following evacuation procedures and assisting first responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience working at sites with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks, is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
