Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Financial Site in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at financial institution locations. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary.
  • Adhere to all company and client policies, including those related to the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
