Job Description


As a Security Guard Healthcare Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the facility. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting staff and visitors, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, visitors, and patients as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual occurrences, hazards, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain a secure environment for all occupants.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and coordinating with medical staff and first responders as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
