As a Security Officer – Access Control Specialist in El Dorado, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a key role in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and security-related incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Communicate promptly with site management and Allied Universal regarding security-related concerns and/or emergencies.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to chemical and petrochemical environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
