As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment within a dynamic retail or mall location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to support a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control procedures at the retail location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors and employees in a professional manner.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns according to company protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
