Job Description


As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Specialist in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and logging all entries and exits in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with enforcing site-specific policies and procedures to help to maintain order within the location.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related needs and concerns as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
