As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Specialist in Pekin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a financial institution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to support a sense of security, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. This is an armed post, requiring you to be attentive and professional while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established communication procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique environment and needs of financial institution locations, adapting patrols and responses accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Hold a valid corrections officer license and/or law enforcement officer license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
