As a Security Professional - Education Front Desk PT in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will utilize technology such as computers or tablets and deliver exceptional customer service, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to individuals entering and exiting the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access points at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist visitors, students, and staff with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with Allied Universal management and local responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
