Job Description


As a Security Officer Front Desk Commercial Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants, providing a welcoming presence while supporting security-related protocols. Your role involves monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with inquiries to help to deter incidents and promote a secure environment. You will utilize technology and strong communication skills to deliver exceptional customer service, reflecting Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or tenants at the front desk of the location, providing a professional and courteous presence.
  • Monitor access to the building by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding security-related matters and/or emergencies.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by answering questions and offering directions or information as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to those entering the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
