As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This armed position requires you to conduct routine patrols, interact with staff and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, helping to maintain a secure environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by site protocols.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to alarms, emergencies, and/or requests for assistance within the location.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site policies, including those related to the handling and carrying of firearms, in accordance with training and legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
