Job Description:

Allied Universal® is hiring a Paramedic Security Officer (Puerto Rico). Full time Pennsylvania Department of Health licensed Paramedic needed to staff an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance. Paramedics are responsible for inventory controls of the ambulance and are required to report responses and treatment(s) to the proper authorities.

PAY RATE: $13.50 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to emergency calls as requests for medical assistance following emergency response proceedings, treating, and sustaining life on all medical emergencies (Advanced Life Support/Basic Life Support)
• Maintain Advanced Life Support Services under the established medical command director
• Stabilize and transport patients via an ALS/BLS Ambulance to a medical facility
• Complete required local Department of Health  reports regarding patient care
• Complete an Incident Report documenting any medical response calls on client property
• Establish priorities to determine procedures to be followed for emergency first aid or assistance; request additional help, including special rescue and utility services
• Function under an Incident Command System
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Possess and maintain a Puerto Rico State Department of Health Certified Paramedic license
• Valid Driver's License
• Current Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR card
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• No prior work experience required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize during situations where there are multiple demands for attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Firefighting Essentials training
• Confined Space Rescue training
• Hazardous Materials (HazMat) training (Awareness/Operations or Technician)
