As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital Patrols in Brandon, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a healthcare location, you will patrol assigned areas and help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will help maintain a welcoming environment. This is an unarmed, patrol-based position that requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking identification, and verifying authorization as required.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with emergency responders.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as requested by the client.
  • Applicants must comply with all hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Applicants must be able to work in environments that include morgue settings.
  • Applicants must be able to assist in restraining individuals as required in hospital settings.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
