Job Description


As a Security Officer - Financial Dispatch Operations in Farmington, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities from a central command post. Your responsibilities will include managing communications, responding to incidents, and supporting on-site teams to help to deter potential issues. You will utilize technology and strong customer service skills to provide a welcoming environment for clients and visitors. Pay Rate: $20.15 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and resources as needed within the financial institution location.
  • Receive and document incoming calls, alarms, and incidents, prioritizing responses based on urgency and established protocols.
  • Coordinate with on-site personnel to provide timely updates and support during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including incident reports and communication logs.
  • Assist in implementing site-specific policies and procedures related to security-related operations and emergency response.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries from staff and visitors, and directing them to the appropriate resources or personnel.
  • Support regular communication between Allied Universal, site personnel, and local authorities as required.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activities by maintaining a visible presence through communication and monitoring systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • CPR certification and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
