Job Description


As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Saint Helena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic food and beverage location, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a secure environment, while your customer service and communication skills will support all who visit the site. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle as well as on foot. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the food and beverage location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and any security-related occurrences.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs specific to the food and beverage environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
