As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a government location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order at the location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and client instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as directed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide reassurance to clients, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
