As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Patrol in Port Jervis, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service while upholding the highest standards of integrity. You will use technology such as computers or tablets to support access control procedures, contributing to a welcoming and secure environment. Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points at the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and staff with directions, information, and security-related inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and observe for unusual activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed during emergency response activities or incidents.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any hazards or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
