As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrol in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a prominent financial institution location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, remain highly visible to support a secure atmosphere, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to everyone you encounter. Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings within a financial institution environment and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents promptly.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or customers while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in accordance with site and company requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
