As a Security Guard - Retail Site - Morning Shift in Salem, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a positive experience, while your strong communication and customer service skills will help address concerns and support the needs of guests and staff. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or directing visitors as needed.
• Support loss prevention efforts by remaining alert to potential theft or suspicious behavior within the retail environment.
• Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
