As a Armed Security Officer - Campus Patrol in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This armed position requires you to respond quickly to situations and support a secure environment. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help promote a sense of security and order.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of location policies and procedures.
• Participate in emergency preparedness drills and respond to alarms and/or emergency situations according to established protocols.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.

• Must have a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate. 

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
