Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Pueblo, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and maintain open communication. You will play a key role in supporting a welcoming atmosphere, reflecting Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity as you interact with the community and respond to various situations throughout your shift.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting the location's needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and site representatives regarding security-related matters, incidents, and observations.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Remain visible and approachable to clients and visitors to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance when requested.
  • Follow all site-specific policies and procedures while adapting to the unique environment of a financial institution.

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
