As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols FT in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to any situations that may arise. Your visible presence and professional approach will contribute to a secure environment for all individuals on site. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report unusual activity.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public in a courteous and professional manner, offering assistance as appropriate.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities during each shift.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement or emergency responders as required by site protocols.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related situations as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by local or state regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
