Job Description


As a Security Professional - Industrial Site - Multiple Shifts in Newton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and attentive approach will contribute to a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help maintain authorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directions in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and respond to incidents or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences as outlined by company and site-specific protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures and collaborating with local personnel and Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activities.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
