As a Security Professional - Armed Government Site - Morning Shift in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or violations of site rules.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the location as required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents.
• Handle security-related equipment responsibly, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License. Armed Guard Card or License is preferred but required for this position.
• Must have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
