As a Security Professional - Dispatch Operations Specialist in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities. You will help to deter incidents by maintaining clear communication, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible throughout the facility. Your focus on access control and customer service will contribute to a secure environment for all personnel. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and coordinate communication between personnel, visitors, and contractors within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Dispatch security-related personnel to respond to incidents, alarms, or emergencies as needed, following site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them to appropriate resources or locations.
  • Document and report incidents, activities, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Operate communication equipment such as radios, phones, and computer systems to relay information and instructions.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Collaborate with on-site teams to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience or at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
