Job Description


As a Security Officer - CRE Unarmed Driver in Research Triangle Park, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This post is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required as you will be responsible for patrolling the property by vehicle and/or on foot as needed. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas within the location.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions involving driving responsibilities in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
