As a Security Officer -- Healthcare Site - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and assisting guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. By maintaining a visible presence at the front desk, you help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide prompt responses to inquiries or concerns. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Assist with visitor and patient inquiries, offering directions and general information as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with on-site personnel and first responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
