As a Security Officer - - Chemical Site Patrol - Full Time in Carlsbad, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine checks, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. This post requires a valid driver's license, as driving is an essential part of the position. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and authorizations according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to support security-related operations and maintain a professional presence.
• Assist with implementing emergency procedures and support evacuation or lockdown processes as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions involving driving responsibilities.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
