Job Description


As a Security Officer Hotel Unarmed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Your presence and attentive customer service will contribute to a positive experience for everyone on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel or resort property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key access points within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and report irregularities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues as observed during patrols.
  • Work collaboratively with hotel or resort staff to support a welcoming environment while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities or situations and communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Current certification in CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
