Job Description


As a Security Guard Armed Transportation Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment within a transportation location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to any security-related concerns. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to those you encounter. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transportation facilities and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities in and around the location, reporting any suspicious behavior or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Assist with crowd management and help to maintain order during peak travel times or special events at the transportation site.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as necessary to address security-related matters and support emergency response efforts.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to provide proof upon request.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
