Job Description


As a Security Officer Overnight Front Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a retail or mall location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, assisting with access control and responding to security-related situations as they arise. Your role involves monitoring activity from a stationary post, providing excellent customer service, and using technology such as alarm panels and computers or tablets. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with emergency personnel and providing information as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries and assistance at the location, helping to foster a welcoming and secure environment.
  • Support efforts to help deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior within the premises through attentive monitoring and professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
