Job Description


As a Security Officer Front Desk Specialist in Bothell, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees at the location, providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves managing access control, verifying credentials, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to support your duties and respond to inquiries with professionalism. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
  • Assist with visitor management, including logging visitors and issuing badges as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site management.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals entering or exiting the premises.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
