As a Security Professional - Armed Site - Morning Shift in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence at a cultural institution location. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service while monitoring access points and responding to situations as needed. This position requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports on all security-related activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies, procedures, and training guidelines while performing armed patrol duties at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possession of an armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
