As a Security Officer - Education Site Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to maintaining a secure environment, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication supports a positive campus experience. Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and location guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings, facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key access points, reporting any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed written reports as required by Allied Universal and location policies.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and helping to direct individuals to their destinations.
  • Support emergency response efforts and assist first responders as needed during incidents at the location.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with all individuals at the location, upholding Allied Universal standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
