As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic financial institution environment. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and respond to situations as needed. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a professional presence. As an armed post, you will be responsible for upholding high standards and contributing to a secure atmosphere. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support an orderly environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregularities.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior or unauthorized access within the financial institution setting, reporting concerns as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Complete reports and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Work collaboratively with location personnel and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents.
  • Follow all protocols related to the carrying and use of firearms, adhering to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
