As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Guard in Tillery, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and respond to situations as they arise. This armed and driving role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and procedures, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms in accordance with company and location policies, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and any security-related concerns observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when required, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Remain alert and observant throughout the shift, adapting to changing conditions and requirements within the government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
