As a Security Officer - Education Patrols in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the campus, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will have the opportunity to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse community, responding to inquiries and assisting those in need. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor the premises for any unusual activity and report observations according to company protocols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and students while performing security-related duties.
• Assist with access control and visitor management processes as required by location policies.
• Document incidents and maintain accurate records in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
