As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone you encounter. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, offering assistance and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor movement as required by site policies.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
