As a Security Officer - Retail Site Patrol - FT in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere within a retail or mall environment. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a strong and approachable presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting visitors, shoppers, and staff with professionalism and courtesy. You will be counted on to observe and report any unusual activity, respond to incidents as needed, and provide clear communication to both team members and the public. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards during patrols and promptly communicate findings to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying authorized personnel as directed by site policies.
• Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations in accordance with client and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Provide information and assistance to customers, tenants, and visitors as needed, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment.
• Participate in emergency response activities, such as evacuations or medical emergencies, following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
