As a Security Officer - Utilities Desk in San Ramon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading utilities location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and contractors. Your role will involve managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while maintaining a professional demeanor. You will help to deter security-related incidents by remaining attentive and responsive to the needs of those entering and exiting the premises. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the facility, providing a professional and welcoming presence at the front desk.
• Monitor access control systems and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
• Provide customer service by answering inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate areas within the location.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to emergency response activities as necessary.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents and/or issues as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must provide proof of high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
