As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order within a corrections environment. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to all individuals at the corrections location.
• Perform regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to established protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following instructions from Allied Universal and site leadership.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter breaches and/or suspicious activities.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in a clear and timely manner as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with corrections staff and/or law enforcement personnel as needed to support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience or 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
