As a Armed Security Officer - Corrections Location in Troy, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This armed and driving role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to clients and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, following established protocols for a government location.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, supporting the procedures set forth for a government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requierments.
