As a Security Guard - Healthcare Site - Weekdays in Port Jervis, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to those on site. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials of individuals as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
